That means you need to stay warm when you are in your house.
Today, I'll give you tips on how to keep the inside of your house warm and cozy during winter.
Tip 1: Bundle Up
You should definitely bundle up when you are cold, whether you only wear an extra pair of clothes, or
just a thin jacket, make sure what you wear makes you feel warm.
Here are some ideas for you to bundle up:
-Wear socks (If you don't already if you do you can try wearing thicker socks that you own.)
-Wear PJs (You can wear your pajamas. It may make you warmer.)
-Wear a jacket (Thin, thick, or warm on the inside)
-Wear warmer clothes (You can change your clothes to warmer ones if you don't like to double layer.)
Tip 2: Close all of your shades and curtains
Closing all of the shades and curtains you have in your home can really make your house warmer.
This tip is really good for windows that leak air into your house.
You can you a test and see if your window is leaking by doing the following (It is best to do this during
the winter.) :
-Close your window with your curtains and/or shades and see how it feels in front.
-Then, put your hand underneath your curtains and/or shades.
-It is cold? Do you feel anything?
-If you do, your window is likely to be leaking air into your home.
-It's not that big of a deal, but this means this tip is especially important to you.
If it's daytime and you want your curtains and shades open, you could leave half of your window open
and leave the rest closed, or something similar to that.
Tip 3: Invest in indoor window insulation
Investing in indoor window insulation is a great idea for keeping you warm.
These can be used for as long as you want.
You can remove them once it gets warmer, or whenever you would like.
Most types are one-use, so it's best to start using them at the beginning of winter or the middle of fall,
depending on when it gets cold for your location.
There are ones that are plastic, glass, etc, but if you decide to buy them, choose which one would fit
your needs.
Tip 4: Use heat
This is an obvious one, but using heat can really heat up your space.
You don't have to use heaters that are built into your home.
Space heaters are a good device when you want to heat up one room, although it can get a little pricy.
That is it for tips on how to stay warm in the winter!! I hope these tips help you keep cozy when it's
